Overview

Discord holds a lot of real work: your community, the channels where your team decides things, and the DMs where deals and support happen. An AI agent can read your email, your docs and your CRM, but Discord is usually out of its reach.

Why it's hard

Discord has no official MCP server. Every Discord MCP you find is built on a bot token: you create an application in the Developer Portal, turn on the message-content intent and invite the bot to each server. Even then the bot sees only those servers, and it can never read your DMs. For the servers you are only a member of, and for your conversations, there is no door at all.

How Reduck does it

Reduck is an MCP server whose Discord scripts run in your own Chrome, where you are already signed in. Your agent sees what you see: every server you are in, their channels, and your direct messages. It uses Discord's own search, reads a channel or a DM the way you scroll it, and replies only when you ask. There is no bot, no token and no separate account.

No. Discord has not published an MCP server. The Discord MCP servers you find on GitHub and in MCP directories are community projects built on a bot token. Reduck is an MCP server too, and its Discord scripts use your own signed-in session instead of a bot.
