Overview

Years of decisions, links and answers sit in Discord: in the servers you follow and in your DMs. Discord's search finds a word in one server or one conversation at a time. What you want is to ask "what did we decide about pricing, and who said it?" across all of them, and get an answer.

Why it's hard

Discord gives an AI no door to your own account. There is no official MCP server and no public API for your own account. A bot sees only the servers it was invited to, never your DMs, and the bot API has no message search. The data package holds only the messages you sent. Tools that read everything do it with your user token or your password.

How Reduck does it

Reduck is an MCP server that ChatGPT, Claude or any MCP client can call. Its Discord scripts run in your own Chrome, where you are already signed in, so your assistant reaches what you reach:

  1. It lists your servers and searches each one with Discord's own search, using the words and filters it picks from your question.
  2. It lists your DMs, one-to-one and group, and reads the conversations that matter.
  3. It reads the hits and the messages around them, and answers with who said what, when, and a link to each message.

There is no bot, no token and no password. Reading and searching change nothing in your account.
