    Settings → Security and login.

  5. Pick Reduck in a new conversation

    Select Reduck in the composer's tools menu, and again in every new chat.

FAQ

It lives under Settings → Security and login. OpenAI states that its availability depends on your account and workspace policy, so for some people the toggle is simply not offered — on a workspace plan it is the workspace that decides. Nothing on the Reduck side affects this, and there is no way around it from here.
Creating the connection does not switch it on. Each conversation keeps the tools it opened with, so a chat that predates the connector will never see it: open a new conversation and select Reduck from the tools menu in the composer. That selection is per conversation, so it is a habit rather than a one-time setting.
If Reduck answers at all, the connector is fine — what is missing is a browser to drive. The error reads "No devices — pair the browser extension through the side panel." Install our Chrome extension and pair it with your account. For a task that does not need your session, you can instead ask for a Reduck-hosted browser.
Search reads a handful of public pages and describes them to you. Reduck runs a script that somebody wrote once for that exact site, in the browser you are signed into, and returns the fields that script promises. One gives you a description of a page; the other gives you rows, and a call you can make again.
Deep Research spends a long run and leaves you a document. Reduck leaves you a script: named, stored on your account, and callable in a second from ChatGPT, from a teammate's ChatGPT, or from the command line. When you want the same answer against this week's pages, you call it rather than wait through the research a second time.
No. ChatGPT sends the name of a script and its arguments, and reads back a JSON result. The page is opened by our Chrome extension on your own machine, in the profile you use every day, so the session stays there. On a Reduck-hosted browser the cookies you chose to hand over are sealed under our key instead — either way, none of it travels to OpenAI.
Ask for one in the same chat. The connector carries the authoring tools as well as the running ones, so ChatGPT writes the script against the live page, runs it to see what comes out, and stores it under your handle. From then on it is an ordinary call, and a site that changes shape is repaired the same way.
