Job search automation with an AI agent (2026)

Prompt template

Every morning, search LinkedIn, Indeed, Welcome to the Jungle and Glassdoor for role jobs in location posted since yesterday. Merge the duplicates, drop the ones that do not fit criteria, rank the rest against my resume, and send me the short list with the link to apply. Do not apply for me.

Overview

Job search automation with an AI agent: every morning, your agent searches LinkedIn, Indeed, Welcome to the Jungle and Glassdoor for the roles you want, and sends you one short list of new jobs that fit. It is for job seekers who want to send fewer, better applications, not hundreds of automatic ones.

Why it's hard

Every job site has its own search, its own filters and its own alerts, so you run the same search four times a day. The same job shows up on several sites: in one test, an "AI Product Manager" role and a "Product Owner" role were each listed on both Indeed and Glassdoor. Results are noisy: sponsored listings come first, and a search for "product manager" also returns store manager jobs. Most of your time goes into reading jobs you will never apply to.

How Reduck does it

Your AI agent runs your searches on each job site with a reusable script, one per site, and gets back clean data: title, company, location, salary when shown, date and link. It merges the jobs it finds on several sites, drops the ones it already sent you, and reads each new job against your criteria and your resume. You get the short list, ranked, with the reason each job fits. Applying stays your decision.

For the companies you most want to join, add careers page job alerts: the agent watches their own job boards too.

What your agent does

  1. Search each job site for your roles and locations, newest first
  2. Merge the same job posted on several sites, and drop the jobs it already sent you
  3. Remove sponsored, unrelated and out-of-area results
  4. Check each job against your criteria and rank it against your resume
  5. Send you the short list with the link to apply, and remember what it already sent

What it does not do

It does not apply for you, write to recruiters or click "Easy Apply". Those steps stay with you, because they are where a human makes the difference.

Who it's for

  • Job seekers who search several job sites every day
  • People who want fewer, better applications instead of mass applying
  • Anyone tired of reading the same job three times on three sites

FAQ

It could fill in forms, but this use case does not. Recruiters see mass applications as spam, and a wrong answer to a screening question costs you the job. Your agent does the searching, sorting and tracking. You read the short list and apply to the jobs you want.
LinkedIn, Indeed, Welcome to the Jungle and Glassdoor, plus HelloWork, Meteojob, APEC, France Travail, Free-Work, Wellfound, We Work Remotely, Himalayas, XING and StepStone, and the careers pages of companies that publish their jobs on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or Workable. Each one is a script in Reduck's catalogue.
No. Indeed, Welcome to the Jungle and Glassdoor are searched without an account, the way any visitor sees them. LinkedIn runs in your own Chrome, where you are already signed in.
LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts bots and automated access, so keep it light. Your agent only reads search results and job pages, a few searches a day, in your own browser. It never applies, sends messages or adds connections for you.
Each site's alerts cover only that site, and its filters only. Your agent puts every site in one list, merges the same job posted on two sites, removes sponsored and unrelated results, checks what the filters cannot (salary, remote policy, words in the description) and ranks what is left against your resume.
Yes. Your agent can also watch the careers pages of the companies you most want to join, on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workable. See the careers page job alerts use case.
