Find viral tweets in your niche with Claude or ChatGPT, a Tweet Hunter alternative (2026)

Prompt template

Find the posts about topic that went viral on X in the past period. Rank them by likes compared with the author's followers, so small accounts that broke out come first. For the top 10, give me the hook, the format and why it worked, with a link, then 5 post ideas for me.

Overview

Find viral tweets in your niche without scrolling: your AI agent searches X for the posts that are taking off in your topic, puts the small accounts that broke out first, reads the replies and quote posts, and tells you why each one worked, with a link. It works from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, with no X API.

Creators study what already works in their niche to know what to post next. The data is on X; reading it is the slow part.

Why it's hard

X's search can filter by likes and dates, but it does not rank posts against their author's usual reach, and it does not tell you why a post worked. A big account gets thousands of likes on anything; a small account that gets hundreds has found a hook worth studying.

Claude and ChatGPT cannot read X on their own: asked what is going viral, they summarize news articles about X instead. Viral-tweet libraries exist, but a library is an archive of what went viral before, not of what is working this week.

How Reduck does it

Reduck's X scripts run in your own Chrome, through the Reduck extension, where you are signed in to X. Your agent searches X with your niche's keywords and engagement filters (min_faves, since, lang, -filter:replies), on the Top tab or the Latest tab, and gets each post's numbers and the author's follower count.

It ranks the posts by likes compared with followers, opens the best ones, and reads their replies and quote posts to see how people reacted. Then it gives you the hook, the format and the reason each post worked, and turns them into post ideas in your own voice.

What your agent does

  1. Search X for your niche's keywords, with a likes threshold and a period
  2. Rank the posts by likes compared with the author's followers
  3. Open the top posts and read their replies and quote posts
  4. Note the hook, the format and why each one worked
  5. Give you a list with links, ready for your swipe file
  6. Draft post ideas from the patterns, in your own words

FAQ

Search X for your niche's keywords with engagement filters: min_faves:500 for posts with at least 500 likes, since:2026-10-07 for the past week, lang:en, -filter:replies. Then look past the big accounts for the posts that did far better than their author usually does. With Reduck, your AI agent runs these searches on X in your own Chrome and does the sorting and the reading for you.
Not on their own: asked on October 14, 2026, Claude answered that it could not read X's trending feed or engagement numbers directly, and summarized news articles instead. With Reduck connected, your agent reads X itself, with each post's likes, reposts, replies, quotes, bookmarks, views and the author's follower count.
Yes. Each search result carries the author's follower count, so your agent can rank posts by likes compared with followers. In a test on October 14, 2026, one search for posts about AI agents with at least 500 likes in the past week returned 30 posts; the top of that ranking was a 2,218-follower account with 709 likes and 90,257 views on one post.
Tweet Hunter's own pricing page lists a library of over 12 million viral tweets, from $29 a month on its Discover plan, with a 7-day trial and no free plan. That library is an archive of what already went viral. Reduck searches X as it is today, in the words of your niche, and your agent explains each post in the chat where you work. It does not schedule posts or keep a library of its own.
No. get_trending_topics reads X's Explore trends as X shows them to the signed-in account, so they follow that account's location and interests. In our test, an account set in France got French politics, sport and TV. For your niche, a keyword search with engagement filters is a better signal than the trends tab.
No. The Top tab is a ranked sample that X chooses, not every post, and each search returns up to 100 posts. Run several searches with different keywords and periods to cover a niche.
No. There is no developer app, no key and no credits. The X API bills each post read. With Reduck, you stay signed in to X in your own Chrome, and the Reduck extension runs each search there. These scripts only read; they post nothing.
