X (Twitter) daily digest: an AI summary of your timeline and lists with Claude or ChatGPT (2026)

Prompt template

Read the posts of the past 24 hours from my X list list and from accounts. Group them by theme, give me the 10 that matter most with one line each and a link, and tell me what I can skip.

Overview

An X (Twitter) daily digest for people who want to keep up without doomscrolling: your AI agent reads the lists and accounts you choose, or your feed, and gives you one short summary each morning, grouped by theme, with a link to every post. It works from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, with no X API.

The posts you care about are a small part of what X shows you. A digest keeps them and leaves the rest.

Why it's hard

Neither Claude nor ChatGPT can see your X feed on its own. The X API bills each post read, RSS for X is gone, and the old free mirrors have closed. Digest services exist, but each one picks how the summary is written and caps how many accounts you follow.

X's own For You feed is ranked to keep you scrolling, not to give you the ten posts that matter.

How Reduck does it

Reduck's X scripts run in your own Chrome, through the Reduck extension, where you are signed in to X. Your agent reads an X List, newest first, or the latest posts of each account you name, or your For You feed.

Then it does what you ask in your own words: group the posts by theme, keep the ones that matter, give one line each with a link, and say what you can skip. Ask for it every morning from a scheduled task in your agent, and read X in five minutes instead of an hour.

What your agent does

  1. Read the posts of the past day from your X List or the accounts you name
  2. Optionally read your For You feed as well
  3. Drop the repeats, the replies and the posts off your topics
  4. Group the rest by theme
  5. Write one line per post that matters, with a link
  6. Say what you can skip, and run again tomorrow

FAQ

Not on their own: neither has an X connection built in, and ChatGPT says it cannot see your feed without one. With Reduck connected, your agent reads X in your own Chrome, where you are signed in, and writes the summary in the chat. In a test on October 14, 2026, one call read the 40 newest posts of a public AI list, all from the past day.
get_personal_feed reads the For You feed, the one X ranks for you, not the chronological Following tab. For a digest of exactly the people you care about, put them in an X List: get_list_tweets reads a list's posts newest first, and get_user_posts reads one account's posts. Your own lists and public lists made by others both work.
Reduck runs when your agent runs. To get the digest every morning, ask for it from a scheduled task in your agent, for example a daily task in Claude. The scripts run in your own Chrome, so Chrome must be open with the Reduck extension when the task runs.
Twigest is a hosted service that collects the accounts and keywords you set and emails a Gemini-written digest. Its own page lists $9 a month for 10 accounts and 3 keywords, and $19 a month for 30 accounts, by email or Telegram. Reduck has no account limit of its own and writes the digest in the chat where you work, in your words; it does not send email on its own.
No. There is no app to create, no key to paste and no credits to buy. The X API bills each post read. With Reduck, you stay signed in to X in your own Chrome, and the Reduck extension runs each script there.
X's rules restrict automation, and no tool can promise that X will never act on an account. Reduck does not run a bot on its own: each script runs only when you or your agent asks, one at a time, in your own browser. A daily digest reads what you would scroll yourself; these scripts post nothing.
