Automatically RSVP to Luma events with an AI agent: an unofficial Luma API to register as an attendee (2026)

Prompt template

Find the free topic events on Luma in city next week, show me the registration questions, and register me for the ones I pick with my profile profile.

Overview

Tech meetups, hackathons and founder dinners live on Luma, and the good ones fill up. Registering means opening each page, clicking Register, typing your company and job title again, and ticking the boxes, event after event.

Why it's hard

Luma's API is for hosts: it adds guests to your own events, it does not register you for someone else's. Luma's MCP server finds events and manages the ones you host, but does not list registering you for other events among what it does. The tools that RSVP for you either read Luma with a session cookie you copy out of DevTools, or drive a browser you have to set up yourself.

How Reduck does it

Reduck runs in your own Chrome, where you are already signed in to Luma. Your agent finds events with search_events or an organizer's calendar with get_calendar_events, reads each one's registration questions with get_event, and calls register_to_event with the answers from your profile. A dry run first shows the filled form and what came from where. The real run returns your approval status, and unregister_from_event cancels when plans change.

Tools

Script What it does Takes
register_to_event Registers you for a free public event, answers the questions, dry run available (changes your account) the event slug, answers or profile, accept_terms, dry_run

FAQ

Not an official one. Luma's API is built for hosts: its guest endpoints add guests to events on a calendar you manage. register_to_event does the attendee side: it registers the signed-in account for someone else's free public event, in one call, from your own Chrome.
Luma's MCP server, also listed in Claude's connector directory and ChatGPT's apps, finds public events, lists the events you attend or host, and manages the events you host. Registering you for someone else's event is not in the list of what it can do on Luma's help page (read on 2026-10-15). Use both: Luma's MCP to find events, Reduck to register.
Yes, from what you give it, never by guessing. Pass answers per question, or a profile (company, title, LinkedIn, X, website, phone) and a list of dropdown options you accept, and the script maps each one to the event's questions. A required question it cannot answer stops the run and names the question. Tested on 2026-10-15 on a Paris meetup that asked for company and job title: the dry run filled both and read them back from the form.
Only when you say so. Some events make you agree to marketing emails or to being filmed. The script ticks a required terms box only with accept_terms set to true, and never ticks an optional marketing opt-in. Without your OK, the run stops and quotes the terms.
Yes. With dry_run, the script fills the form, reads it back, and returns what it would submit for each question and where each value came from, plus would_register. Nothing is sent and the organizer is not notified. Run it for real once the plan looks right.
Free, public events that are open for registration. It fails with a clear reason on paid events and on events that are closed. On an event that needs the host's approval, the host still decides: the result's approval_status tells you where you stand. Tested on 2026-10-15: a free Paris event with no questions registered the account as approved in one call, and unregister_from_event cancelled it.
Your agent can watch a city with search_events or an organizer's calendar with get_calendar_events, show you the new events that match, and register you for the ones you approve. Each registration is under your real name and notifies the host, so keep a human OK in the loop and register only for events you plan to attend: mass RSVPs annoy hosts and may break Luma's terms.
Yes. Reduck connects to ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and any other MCP client. You ask in plain words, and the agent picks the Luma scripts it needs. You stay signed in to Luma in the Chrome where the Reduck extension runs.
