X (Twitter) bio search tool: find users by keywords in their bio, founders and B2B decision makers

Prompt template

Search X for accounts whose bio mentions keywords. Keep only the ones where the words are in the bio itself, with min to max followers and a post in the last 30 days. Put handle, name, bio, location, website and followers in a Google Sheet, best fits first.

Overview

Find X (Twitter) users by the keywords in their bio, without the X API: your AI agent searches X for "founder SaaS", "CTO" or "Head of Growth", keeps the accounts whose bio really says it, checks that they are active, and puts the list in a Google Sheet with each account's bio, location, website and follower count. It works from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client.

Sales teams, founders and marketers use bios to find the people they want to reach: decision makers in an industry, founders building in public, experts in a niche. On X, the bio is where people say who they are. Searching it is the hard part.

Why it's hard

X search is built to find posts, not people. Its People tab matches names, handles and bios together, ranks them its own way, and has no filter for followers, location or activity, and no export. A search for a job title returns companies, pubs and bands that carry the word in their name.

Followerwonk, the classic bio search tool, moved into Fedica's paid plans. The tools that remain cap free searches or charge for searches and exports, and none of them works from the chat where your agent already is.

How Reduck does it

Reduck's X scripts run in your own Chrome, through the Reduck extension, where you are signed in to X. Your agent runs the People search with your keywords and gets up to 100 accounts per search, each with its handle, name, bio, location, website, verified badge and its follower, following and post counts.

It reads each bio and keeps the accounts whose bio holds your words. It applies your filters (a follower range, a website in the profile, a location) and opens the posts of the best fits to check that they are active and talk about your topic. Then it writes the list to your Google Sheet, best fits first.

What your agent does

  1. Turn your target into bio keywords: job titles, industries, tools
  2. Search X's People tab once per keyword, up to 100 accounts each
  3. Keep the accounts whose bio holds the keywords, and remove duplicates
  4. Filter by followers, website and location
  5. Read the recent posts of the best fits to check they are active
  6. Write handle, name, bio, location, website and followers to a Google Sheet

FAQ

X has no bio-only search. Its People tab matches your keywords against names, handles and bios together, and its Advanced Search filters posts, not profiles. With Reduck, your AI agent runs the People search in your own signed-in Chrome, reads each account's bio, and keeps only the accounts whose bio holds your words. You get handle, name, bio, location, website, followers, following and post count for each one.
Search their job title as it appears in bios: "founder" with "SaaS" or "B2B", "CTO", "Head of Growth", "VP Marketing". Then filter: a follower range that fits who you sell to, a company website in the profile, and a recent post so the account is active. Your agent runs one search per title and merges the results into one list with no duplicates.
Up to 100. In a test on October 27, 2026, a search for founder SaaS returned 100 accounts, and X had more to show. A search for the exact phrase "Head of Growth" returned 21, all that X showed. X ranks the results and does not show every match, so run several searches with other words to cover a niche.
No. The People tab also matches names and handles, so a search for founder SaaS also returned a pub and a band whose names hold the word "founders". Your agent reads each bio and drops the accounts where your keywords are only in the name. If you want them, say so in the prompt: many founders put their title in their display name.
X's developer docs list a user search endpoint for Pro access and higher, with paid usage. With Reduck you need no developer app, no key and no credits: you stay signed in to X in your own Chrome, and the Reduck extension runs each search there.
Followerwonk's tools now live in Fedica's dashboard, and its account search needs Fedica's Grow plan or higher. Sorsa has a free bio search with 5 searches a day and 20 exportable matches per search. Circleboom returns up to 5,000 accounts per query and charges search tokens for queries and exports. Reduck is different: your AI agent does the search, the filtering and the export in the chat where you work.
No. It reads what the public profile shows: bio, location, website and the counts. Many founders link their company site in the profile, which is often enough to find the right contact.
These scripts only read: they follow nobody, send no DM and post nothing. They run in your own Chrome, signed in as you, like a person who searches and opens profiles. X limits automated use of its site, so keep to the searches you need.
