Reddit brand monitoring: track mentions of your brand on Reddit with AI (2026)

Prompt template

Find the Reddit posts from the past period that mention my brand or competitors, in all of Reddit and in r/subreddits. Read the threads, tell me what people say about each brand, sort the mentions into praise, complaints, questions and comparisons, and give me the links.

Overview

Reddit brand monitoring for founders and marketers: your AI agent finds the Reddit posts that mention your brand and your competitors, reads the threads, and tells you what people say, good and bad, with a link to every source.

Reddit is where people compare tools and complain in public, and ChatGPT often lists those threads among its sources when someone asks about a product. Knowing what they say about you, and about the brands you compete with, is the point of monitoring them.

Why it's hard

Reddit's own search is weak for this. It returns posts, not a view of what people think, and the same post is often shared in three or four subreddits. In a test on October 9, 2026, a search for "F5Bot" returned 25 recent posts, several of them one post repeated across subreddits, plus F5Bot's own subreddit.

Reading the threads is the long part: the opinion is in the comments, next to sarcasm, self-promotion and removed replies. Doing it by hand every week, for your brand and three competitors, is the part that slips.

How Reduck does it

Reduck's Reddit scripts run in your own Chrome, through the Reduck extension, where you are signed in to Reddit. Your agent searches all of Reddit for your brand, its misspellings, your domain and your competitors, and searches the subreddits your customers read with the whole list in one pass.

It drops the duplicates and the posts that only share a word with your brand, opens each remaining thread, and reads the post and the comments it shows. Then it reports: how often each brand came up and where, the praise, the complaints, the questions and the comparisons, each with a quote and a link. Run it every week to see what changes. When a complaint or a question deserves an answer, your agent drafts the reply and posts it from your account only when you approve, as in Reddit lead generation.

What your agent does

  1. Search all of Reddit and your chosen subreddits for your brand, its variants and your competitors
  2. Drop duplicates and posts that are not about the brand
  3. Read each thread: the post and its comments
  4. Sort the mentions into praise, complaints, questions and comparisons, with a quote for each
  5. Report per brand, with links, and compare with last week's report if you keep it
  6. Draft a reply to the mentions that need one, and post it only when you approve

FAQ

Search for your brand name, its misspellings, your domain and your competitors' names, in all of Reddit and in the subreddits your customers read, then read the threads that come back. With Reduck, your AI agent does this in your own Chrome: it runs the searches, reads each thread, and reports what people say, with links.
Partly, and this is where dedicated monitors are stronger. Your agent finds the posts that name your brand, through Reddit's search and subreddit search, and reads the comments shown on those threads. It does not search every comment on Reddit, so a mention in a comment under an unrelated post can be missed. F5Bot, Syften and Brand24 say on their own pages that they watch Reddit comments as well as posts.
Yes. Your agent reads each post and its comments in context, so it can tell a complaint from a recommendation, or a question from a comparison, and it quotes the line it based each verdict on. Reddit is full of sarcasm: read the quotes before you act on a verdict.
Yes. Give your agent your brand and your competitors' names: it searches them in the same pass and reports how often each one comes up, in which subreddits, and what people say about each. In a test on October 9, 2026, one search for F5Bot and Syften in four marketing subreddits returned 22 threads from the past year: F5Bot matched 17 of them and Syften 5.
Reddit offers Reddit Pro to businesses, and its help center has a page on a feature called Trends. That page did not open for us on October 9, 2026, so its limits are not documented here.
Keyword alerts tell you quickly that a new post matches a word. Brand monitoring tells you what Reddit thinks of your brand: it reads the threads, sorts the mentions and compares you with competitors. For alerts on new posts, see the Reddit keyword alerts use case; your agent can do both.
They are hosted services that watch Reddit all the time and send alerts: F5Bot by email, Syften within about a minute (from $29.95 a month, with no sentiment analysis, per its own page), Brand24 with sentiment charts. Reduck does not watch Reddit on its own: it runs when your agent runs. In return, your agent reads whole threads, writes the report in the chat where you work, and needs no Reddit API access.
No. There is no app to register and no key to paste. You stay signed in to Reddit in Chrome, and the Reduck extension runs each script there. Reddit blocks connections from datacenter addresses, which is why the scripts run in your own browser.
Reddit's rules forbid spam, vote manipulation and unauthorized bulk collection, whatever tool does it. Your agent runs a few searches and reads threads at your pace, in your own session: what you could read yourself. It only reads; it posts nothing.
