Overview

Years of Reddit comments tell a lot about you: where you live, where you work, what you went through. Reddit has no button to delete them all, and deleting your account leaves every comment online. An AI agent can do the work for you, comment by comment, and show you what it did.

Why it's hard

Reddit only lets you delete one comment at a time. Power Delete Suite, the free bookmarklet most guides still point to, depends on old Reddit and broke. Shreddit needs Reddit API credentials that Reddit now has to approve. Redact deletes only on a paid plan, and browser extensions either cap you at 50 deletions a day or get full access to your account. And your profile only shows your latest 1,000 items, so every tool that reads it misses the oldest ones.

How Reduck does it

Reduck runs Reddit actions in your own Chrome, where you are already signed in, so there is no API key and nothing to install on old Reddit. Your agent lists your comments with get_user_comments (subreddit, text, score, date and link for each), shows you the list, then calls edit_comment to replace the text and delete_comment to remove it. delete_comment and delete_post reload the page afterwards and confirm the item is gone. For history older than your profile shows, the agent works from the links in your Reddit data archive.

No. Reddit's help center explains how to delete one comment or one post at a time, from its three-dot menu. Deleting your account does not delete them either: they stay online under [deleted]. To clear everything, you need a tool, or you can ask Reddit for help at [email protected] from your verified email address, with no guarantee that Reddit does it.

Yes, that is what most guides recommend: replace the text, then delete, so that a later copy of the page holds the new text rather than yours. edit_comment replaces the whole text of a comment, and delete_comment removes it. Neither can remove copies that archive sites already made.
Your Reddit profile only lists about your latest 1,000 posts and comments, so get_user_comments cannot see further back, like every tool that reads the profile. For older ones, request your data at reddit.com/settings/data-request: the archive lists every comment with its link, and edit_comment and delete_comment work from a link, so your agent can go through the whole file.
delete_comment and delete_post reload the page after deleting and report verified_on_page. Tested on 2026-10-16 on a test post and comment: both came back deleted and verified on the page, and the comment was no longer on the profile.
