Best LinkedIn MCP servers for Claude (2026): official, open-source and hosted compared

Prompt template

Find 10 job title at kind of company in location on LinkedIn, read each profile, and summarize their current role and their latest post.

Overview

The best LinkedIn MCP servers for Claude in 2026, compared. LinkedIn publishes no official MCP server, and its self-serve API stops at signing in and posting on your own profile. So every LinkedIn MCP server is third-party, and they fall into three kinds: API-based servers that publish posts, local open-source servers that drive a LinkedIn session on your machine, and hosted services that hold a session for you. Reduck is a fourth kind: a hosted server whose scripts run in your own signed-in Chrome.

1. Reduck

A hosted MCP server whose LinkedIn scripts run in your own Chrome, where you are already signed in. You add one URL to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. Your agent searches people with LinkedIn's filters, reads full profiles with experience, reads any member's recent posts, searches posts, reads your inbox and messages your connections when you ask. There is no developer app and no second LinkedIn session. See LinkedIn MCP server for every tool.

2. stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server

An open-source server that runs on your machine and drives its own Chromium with your LinkedIn session. You install it with uvx, Docker or a Claude Desktop bundle, and use it from local clients such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor. Best for developers who want everything local and are fine with an install.

3. LinkMCP

A hosted service that holds your LinkedIn session on its side. Its page says it does not use LinkedIn's official partner API.

4. Linked API

A hosted service that says it runs your LinkedIn account in a dedicated cloud browser.

5. Unipile

A hosted service that holds your LinkedIn session on its side. What its MCP server reads is not documented here.

6. API-based servers (Composio, Zapier, content tools)

Servers built on LinkedIn's official API. They publish posts and read your own page's analytics, because that is what the API allows. They cannot search people or read other members' profiles.

How to choose

  • You only publish posts: an API-based server.
  • You want everything on your machine and use a local client: stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server.
  • You want people search, profiles and your inbox in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, from your own browser: Reduck.

Who it's for

  • Developers choosing a LinkedIn MCP server for their agent
  • Anyone who wants LinkedIn in their agent without a LinkedIn developer app

FAQ

It depends on what you need. To publish posts and read your own analytics, an API-based server such as Composio or Zapier. To search people and read profiles on your own machine, the open-source stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server, for local clients such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor. To use LinkedIn from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor with one URL and your own signed-in browser, Reduck.
No. LinkedIn publishes no MCP server and no Claude connector, so every LinkedIn MCP server is third-party. ChatGPT has an official LinkedIn plugin: its page says it looks up a professional's title, company, location and follower count and links to the full profile. It does not list reading posts, full experience or your messages.
LinkedIn's self-serve API lets an app sign you in and post on your own profile. Searching members, reading other people's profiles and reading your messages are not in it. The servers that read profiles drive a logged-in LinkedIn session instead, on your machine or on the vendor's servers.
ChatGPT only takes remote connectors. The hosted servers (the API-based ones, LinkMCP, Linked API, Unipile and Reduck) work in it. A local server such as stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server does not, unless you host it yourself.
LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts automated access, and no tool can promise that LinkedIn will never act on an account. Keep the volume and the pace of a person. Reduck runs each script only when you or your agent asks, one at a time, in your own browser.
Reduck is free for 100 script runs a month, then $20 a month for 1,000 runs or $100 a month for unlimited runs.
