Get Energy-Charts electricity futures prices

Read the Energy-Charts (Fraunhofer ISE) electricity futures chart for Germany, France, Austria or Switzerland: the daily settlement price, in EUR/MWh, of each base-load contract for a delivery year, quarter, month or week (for example "2027", "Q1 2027", "01.2027"), on each trading day. This is what the market pays today for power delivered later, so it shows the expected cost ahead. A contract has a null price on the days it was not traded, before it opened or after its delivery started. Pass from and to (trading dates) to get only a range of trading days, as the chart's date range selector does. Without them, every trading day since 2021 is returned, which is a large answer. A range where the site has no trading days gives empty lists.

Get Energy-Charts cross-border electricity exchanges

Read the Energy-Charts (Fraunhofer ISE) import and export chart of a European country for a year, half-year, quarter, meteorological season or month: the electricity, in GWh, that each country of the chart exported to each other one, for the country and its neighbours. Choose the scheduled commercial exchanges (cross-border trading, the default) or the measured physical flows. Use country "all" or "eu" for every European country or the EU. Each exchange is one direction (from, to), so a border has up to two; pairs with no exchange are left out, so a future period gives an empty list. Data starts in 2015.

Get Energy-Charts electricity spot prices

Read the Energy-Charts (Fraunhofer ISE) spot market chart of a European country for one week, month or year: the day-ahead auction price, and for Germany the intraday prices, gas price and fuel cost index, with the CO2 allowance price, the load, the production by group and the net cross-border trading over the same time steps. Use country "all" or "eu" to get the day-ahead price of every European bidding zone side by side (for example France next to Germany). Prices are in EUR/MWh and power in MW, each value at its UTC time. Time steps are 15 minutes where the market uses them (day-ahead since 1 October 2025) and hourly otherwise. The current week also holds the next day once its auction is published; later time steps are null. Data starts in 2015. A period with no published data fails with a message that says so.
